Join TPF’s Sam Alonso for a guided tour of areas not usually open to the public. Visit our plant propagation and seed conservation facilities, and learn more about our work to make a wide selection of California native plants available to gardeners.

This tour will be held outdoors in working production facilities. We ask guests to wear closed-toe shoes and long pants, and to prepare for up to 90 minutes of walking on steep, uneven, and wet surfaces. Water bottles and sun protection are also strongly encouraged.

Sam Alonso is a certified Interpretive Guide, horticulturist, former farm assistant manager, and current Seed Technician at Theodore Payne Foundation. She is passionate about the accessibility of outdoor spaces for all, the preservation of natural resources and sustainable landscapes, and the various ways that community members can play an active role towards these goals.
