California Native Container Plants with Flora Ito

A vast array of native plants will grow happily in containers, and potted natives add texture and color to the garden, as well as habitat for birds, butterflies and native bees. This session includes an illustrated slide presentation and guided walk with tips on growing natives in pots to enhance your door step, balcony or patio.

Part of this class will be held outdoors in nursery and demonstration gardens. We ask guests to wear closed-toe shoes and long pants, and to prepare for up to one hour of walking on uneven surfaces. Water bottles and sun protection are also strongly encouraged.

Flora Ito is our Nursery Sales Manager. She has a background in agriculture and the arts.
