Ever wonder how to create a landscape painting outdoors? This workshop will present the history and basics of creating a landscape painting en plein air (French for outside). The class will include a gallery walk-through of the instructor’s solo painting exhibition and an outdoor oil painting demonstration. Composition, drawing, color mixing, and color relationships will be discussed. Students will have the opportunity to create a work of art on the TPF grounds.
Students must bring their own supplies and tools (a suggested materials list will be provided). All mediums are welcome, including: oil or acrylic on canvas, watercolor, pastel or drawing media on paper. This is an all-level class, beginning to advanced or students who just wish to watch are welcome.
