The Kids SeedLab Workshop is offered by the Theodore Payne Foundation for Wild Flowers & Native Plants, San Gabriel Mountains Chapter/California Native Plant Society, and Eaton Canyon Nature Center associates.

This hands-on workshop for children (7 and up) explores the growth, reproduction, and survival of plants. Students will engage in a mini field excursion to collect seed, be introduced to basic seed physiology, use seed-processing tools of the trade, and sow native seed to take home. You’ll also learn why people and our local environment need native plants. Sunscreen, hats, and closed-toe shoes are advised. Bring your refillable water bottle, and be ready to explore! A parent or guardian is not required but welcome to attend.
