Kat High is a Native American of Hupa descent. She lectures widely on the ethnobotany of California native plants. Kat has been trained by traditional elders in Native American land management traditions, now referred to as TEK (Traditional Ecological Knowledge), and is a teacher on adapting those principles to the modern world. Her “gathering garden” was featured in the KCET award-winning documentary “Tending the Wild”.
