Our first episode of our second season feature Hop Hopkins, Director of Strategic Partnerships at the Sierra Club.

Hop is the the Director of Strategic Partnerships at the Sierra Club, and a certified arborist and Master Gardener. We will discuss the Environmental Justice Movement, and ways that the native plant community can build a better world

Prior to his role at the Sierra Club, Hop was the Urban Forestry Manager and Director of Vocational Programs at the Los Angeles Conservation Corps as the. During this time he created training programs and assisted with curriculum development for underserved youth in the areas of wildland firefighting, environmental remediation, water efficiency and solar installation. Hop believes that life is not a competitive struggle and he is driven by his vision to create a network of residential food forests in order to support the development of stable, human-scale, solar, self-reliant neighborhood communities integrated with cooperative local economies.
