Nursery Policies
All sales are final. No refunds or exchanges. Once you purchase a plant, it belongs to you. If it dies, we will be happy to help you determine why it died, so that you can avoid making the same mistake again. If we determine that the mistake was ours, we will absolutely refund your money or exchange your plant.
48-hour Holds. If you see a plant on our inventory but cannot come in right away to purchase it, you can call our office at (818) 768-1802 to request a hold. We will hold plants for up to 48 hours for pick up. Sorry, no holds during plant sale weeks.
Pay First. We have a policy of asking customers to leave their plants in the nursery until they have paid for them. This policy is the result of actual thefts that occurred. Though many customers have been understanding about this, the policy has been unpopular with some. We understand that it is an inconvenience, and staff will be happy to accommodate customers who would like assistance with bringing carts down to the parking lot.
No Smoking. Anywhere on the property. Ever. We are in a high fire-risk zone, surrounded by dry sagebrush and residential properties.
Dogs Must Be On Leash (except for Quincy). Dogs are welcome at TPF, in the sales yard and on our trail. However, for everyone’s safety – including that of our plants, our wildlife and other dogs – we require that visiting dogs be leashed. Your pet’s safety is our concern, as well. Rattlesnakes and coyotes are common on the grounds, including in the sales yard.
